  • Downtown Aquarium and restaurant   (HTTP://WWW.AQUARIUMRESTAURANTS.COM/) offers family fun, dining, spectacular land and sea creatures and gorgeous views of the downtown Houston. You’ll find a 500,000-gallon underwater adventure complex with more than 200 species of aquatic life from around the globe.

  • Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark offers 30,000 square feet of top notch, in-ground public skating facility. Skaters will be impressed by what is thought to be the largest cradle in the nation. The park has areas for all skill levels, from pro to beginner.

  • Minute Maid Park is a Major League Baseball park can host as many as seven large events at one time.

  • Saint Arnold Brewing Company is Texas' Oldest Craft Brewery. They brew ten different beers. Five are made year round and five are seasonal. 

  • Toyota Center is home to the NBA’s Houston Rockets and the AHL’s Houston Aeros. Toyota Center also plays host to the nation’s top concerts and touring shows.

The Cistern at Buffalo Bayou Park is a former drinking water reservoir built in 1926 for the City of Houston. After operating for decades, an irreparable leak was discovered and after a few years, the reservoir was decommissioned in 2007. Thanks to support from The Brown Foundation, Inc., Buffalo Bayou Partnership has re-opened this underground, industrial relic to the public, with rotating temporary art installations scheduled throughout the year.

 

Buffalo Bayou park: Its greenbelt consists of many activities for exercise and enjoyment such as the hike and bike trails; exercise stations; the Jim Mozola Memorial Disc Golf Course; a dog lovers park; canoeing and kayaking trails; and children’s playgrounds.
